김단비 || Tauntaun Kim

In Korean, 단비 (pronounced dhan-bi) literally means "sweet rain", and idiomatically refers to rain that comes just when you need it. It's often used to refer to the first rain after a drought.

I earned the nickname Tauntaun as a cast member in the MIT Musical Theater Guild's 2005 production of Star Wars Trilogy: Musical Edition. I played Bail Organa, Lobot, an Ewok, a Death Star technician, one of the Emperor's Red Guards, and a drunk alien in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina -- but hilariously, no tauntauns ever appeared on stage.
